Design of a Single-Storey Two-Family Residential Building in “Proslav” Area, Zapaden District, Plovdiv Municipality

The subject of this development is a two-family residential building located in the “Proslav” area, Zapaden District, Plovdiv Municipality. The building is single-storey and without a basement.

It is positioned freely within the plot, in accordance with the development visa. The structure consists of two separate dwellings. Vehicular and pedestrian access is provided from the south, facing the street, while the entrances to the dwellings are located on the east and west sides, respectively.

Parking is provided for four cars.

The two dwellings are identical, each with a built-up area of 99.30 sq.m. and include an entrance hall, living room/dining room with kitchenette, laundry room, bathroom, one bedroom, and one master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet.

The building’s load-bearing structure is made of monolithic reinforced concrete.

The exterior walls are built with 25 cm thick brick masonry, with effective thermal insulation applied externally and partially internally. Thermal bridges are addressed by applying insulation either externally or internally on the reinforced concrete elements and enclosing walls. Interior partition walls are made of 12 cm and 25 cm thick brick masonry.

The roof is pitched, thermally and hydro-insulated, and covered with roof tiles. Drainage is ensured via external PVC downpipes.

The façades are thermally insulated and finished with a combination of white plaster, partial natural gneiss stone cladding, and partially covered with composite plastified wood siding. The window frames are aluminum, with 6-chamber profiles, single-sided foil in RAL 7016, and double-glazed low-emission float glass.
